Last night
I attended the Big D and the Kids Table and State Radio show at the Jefferson in Cville. T’was pretty good I must say. Last night I received a letter from VCU saying I was not accepted into the arts program. Although I’ve been fairly devastated by break up of my band, my failure to comply with school, my lack of entry to college, and the lack of friends or a girl friend I had an awesome time last night.I realized that since Paper Lanterns doesn’t exist anymore that something better is bound to happen. I’m going to start playing with my friend Josie. My inspiration/ goal for this project is a Hardcore - Noise Math Rock sound with intricate tapping, catchy fast riffs, with a little bit of power violence mixed with pop influence. My main target with this is to see what else I’m capable of and have fun with it. I kind of want to sound like Giraffes? Giraffes!, Ceremony, Japanther, The Ergs!, and Hella. It’s a really odd mixture but I’m hoping for it to work out really well.
Another interesting thing in my life about to get on its way is last night at the show I stepped outside for a cigarette, and the girl that was dancing next to me asked if I could bum her one, so I did. While outside I talked to her with Jef and Daniel, and it was a really cool way to spend part of the night. This girl though, by god she’s amazing. I remember almost every word she said, and enjoyed them too. She currently goes to UVA and I’m not sure how old she is but I plan on learning that soon.
What happened with this is after talking and she went back inside, Daniel said “Why didn’t you get her number!? She’s totally your type. She’s pretty corky, and she’s really nice!” After his statement I literally just yelled “Shit! You’re totally right!” I then stood around the merch table hoping to see her again. We ended up leaving without me seeing her again. I never have believed in that whole ‘love at first sight’ bullshit, but honestly that’s kind of what I’m feeling. That cliché Oh my god, this girl is totally amazing… I think we’re meant to date that people get from time to time, and I’ve missed it. I went home and I was damn well determined to find her. I searched for the longest damn time last night but I found her, we’re now friends on facebook. To be honest, I’m excited to talk to her again, very excited.
Right now I’m just sitting in Government waiting for this damn class to be over, but I still have about 40 minutes left of class. I plan on listening to music and organizing some stuff. Anyway, tata for now!
